We proudly represented South Africa in the Imvelise competition as part of the UNICEF Challenge, securing an outstanding Top 2 placement. As the Imvelise Hackathon winner, we were selected to represent South Africa in the UNICEF Challenge, where only two participants from the country were chosen.
The department hosts a national competition for SMMEs, featuring multiple stages of competition. We advanced to the finals at the national level after winning the North West rural-based category. As part of the TechnoServe Growth Phase in 2023, the President and the national office visited the hub in Mafikeng, where we had the incredible opportunity to pitch our venture directly to him.
YALI had a dedicated pavilion at Africa Tech Week, where we joined a vibrant community of 600 YALI alumni. Among them, 100 had the exclusive opportunity to showcase their innovations and initiatives through exhibitions.
The FNB App of the Year is a prestigious pan-African competition open to all apps across the continent. Out of an initial 11,000 applications, we achieved an outstanding milestone by ranking in the Top 5 across three categories.
